Your participation is needed to create a comprehensive Long-Range Transportation Plan. The HRTPO believes that public input is valuable and should happen early and be continuous throughout the development of Navigating the Future. From Vision development to Plan adoption, there are many opportunities for the public to get involved in the transportation planning process. The decisions we make now about how we plan for growth and our future transportation system will affect the quality of life in our region for future generations. Now is the time to get involved and make your opinion count.

As part of Community Conversations, we partner with existing organizations, companies, community groups, etc. so people can learn more about the 2034 LRTP and provide their perspectives on what should be transportation priorities.

Check our the HRTPO Calendar to see when the next meeting is scheduled. Every month, transportation professionals and elected officials get together to discuss regional transportation issues. This is a great way to get involved and learn more about the transportation planning process. Public comments are received at the start of every meeting.
2034 LRTP Subcommittee is a working group comprised of TTAC members dedicated to the development of Navigating the Future. This group meets every other month.
TTAC (Transportation Technical Advisory Committe) is made up of transportation professionals from Hampton Roads. Their primary role is to advise the HRTPO board members. Meetings are held the first Wednesday of every month.Next Meeting

HRTPO (Hampton Roads Transportation Planning Organization) is the body responsible for regional transportation planning in Hampton Roads. This Board is made up of local elected officials as well as representatives from other local, state and federal agencies. Meetings are held the third Wednesday of every month.
